I'm a certified personal trainer, and I've spent the last six years in the holistic health space. Coaching, researching, building, learning.

In that time, I've watched the conversation around natural living go from niche to mainstream.

Everyone knows plastic is bad now. We've banned the bags. Ditched the straws. Traded the bottles for steel. Good. Save the turtles, right?

But until recently, I was still brushing my teeth with plastic.

I switched to a "eco bamboo" toothbrush years ago. Felt good about it. Thought I'd done my part... it's bamboo, and bamboo is sustainable, right?

Well... kind of.

Then I looked at the bristles. The part that actually matters.

Nylon.

The same petroleum-derived plastic as every other toothbrush on the market, just bolted to a bamboo handle so the brand could sell it as "natural". Greenwashing at it's finest.

I'd been grinding microplastic into the most gentle, most absorbent surface in my body, twice a day, for years. So had everyone I knew. Including my partner. Including the healthiest friends I have who read every label, eat organic, avoid seed oils, and genuinely care about what they put on and in their bodies. None of us had checked the bristle.

That sat wrong with me.

Your gums aren't decoration. The mucous membranes in your mouth absorb whatever sits against them, fast. They are some of the most permeable tissue in your entire body. You can't keep grinding plastic fragments into that surface twice a day for the next forty years and pretend it's nothing.

So I built KYND.

Natural horsehair bristles. Real bamboo handle, sealed with 100% beeswax. Kraft cardboard packaging that composts fully. Ethically sourced from grooming, never from slaughter. Verified at origin. No nylon. No synthetic anywhere in the product or the box. 

The entire thing returns back to the Earth when you're done.

KYND's mission is bigger than leaving no trace. I've also partnered with Ecologi to plant a tree for every single order placed. So each order not only replaces and removes plastic from this planet, it also gives back.

My plan is bigger than a toothbrush. KYND will grow into the largest all-natural, all-biodegradable oral care company in the world. None of that "natural origin" petro-chemical greenwashing BS. ACTUALLY all-natural. Which no one else is doing.

Floss is next. Then toothpaste. Then tongue scrapers. Every product in your bathroom that touches your mouth, replaced with something honest. Something KYND.

Our pledges are simple. No microplastics, ever. No synthetics. No compromises. No greenwashing. No "natural" on the front and synthetic on the back. The whole product. The whole shelf. The whole routine.
